About Us

The Expanding Criminal Justice Reform Critical Policy Research: Ideating Research to Practice Strategies for Opportunity & Justice-Impacted Youth project builds on a prior project aimed at surveying two decades of federal prevention policy and building a national network of prevention-focused scholars. The project focuses on community engagement, policy innovation, and addressing the inequities that disproportionately impact marginalized communities.

This project is housed at the University of Southern California (USC) Rossier School of Education, which prepares educational leaders to tackle inequities through research, policy, and practice. With a focus on urban settings and marginalized groups, USC Rossier emphasizes cultural context and innovative solutions to complex challenges, acknowledging education as a critical pillar in the criminal justice reform (CJR) prevention landscape.

As part of its broader commitment to research-driven solutions, USC fosters innovation and collaboration to tackle pressing societal challenges. Located in Los Angeles, California, it is a leading private research university known for academic excellence, a diverse community of scholars and students, and a dedication to advancing knowledge and driving meaningful change.
